About CJCGC
The purpose of Christian Job Corps of Gillespie County (CJCGC) is to provide a Christian context in which men & women in need are equipped for life and employment with a mission context where men are helping men and women are helping women.
In 2015, founders Danny McQuay & Tammy Keener recruited a core group of Christian business men and women who desired to offer help to those who were searching for positive direction and/or were bogged-down by life circumstances.
Since 2017, CJCGC worked with 33 women and men to gain the knowledge needed to pursue a career matched to his/her abilities and interest and the skills to be a valuable and productive employee. Even more importantly, each person has left knowing his/herself better, with more confidence, a community of support and a plan to provide a better quality of life for his/herself and family.
Since 2020, CJCGC has operated the Job Resource Center as a shared workspace for job seekers and have help 116 men and women with access to technology, one-on-one assistance with their job search, computer training and GED tutoring.
